Sixth Memphis police officer relieved of duty after Tyre Nichols death
A sixth Memphis police officer has been relieved of duty following the beating and death of Tyre Nichols. Following the release of footage of the brutal beating and arrest of Tyre Nichols — who died several days later — officer Preston Hemphill was relieved of duty, Memphis police spokeswoman Karen Rudolph said.
